The TSU 120 begins to automatically check for syn-
chronization and bit errors.
The results of this check are shown under menu item
4)PATTERN RESULTS (see Figure 19).

Window Displaying Test Pattern Results
The Test Pattern Results are explained in the following
discussion :
ES
The number of errored seconds with one
or more errors per second.
BES
The number of severely errored seconds
with more than 320 errors per second.
SES
The number of seconds with more than
320 bit errors.

The pattern sync has been lost.
No (Yes
) Current pattern sync status. Indicates if
pattern sync is (Yes), or is not (No),
valid.
Pressing the 2 key injects errors.
Clear the results with the Clear key (shift + 9).
If not in pattern sync, the TSU does not accumulate errored
seconds.
When through viewing the results, Cancel returns the
unit to menu item 3)TEST PATTERN. Select None to
terminate the test and the QRSS pattern generation.
The far end will still be in loopback until the network
REMOTE LOOPBK is set to None under menu item
2)REMOTE LOOPBK.
