Power Connection
The AC powered TSU 600 is equipped with a captive
eight-foot power cord, terminated by a three-prong
plug which connects to a grounded power receptacle.
Power to the TSU 600 must be from a grounded 115
VAC, 60 Hz source.
DC Powered Units
The DC powered TSU 600 (1200.076L2#DC) is
equipped with a terminal strip on the rear of the unit.
The power source should be connected to the terminal
strip according to the polarity markings on the unit.
For example, a -48V source would be connected with
the -48V return attached to the (+) terminal and the -
48V DC attached to the (-) terminal. Power must be
from a DC source in the range of 21 to 26V DC or in
the range of 40 - 56V DC.
The chassis ground connection on the rear panel is
electrically isolated from the power input. The
protective cover should be reinstalled over the termi-
nal strip, once the power source is connected.
The DC powered TSU 600 is to be installed only in
restricted areas (dedicated equipment rooms, equip-
ment closets, or the like) in accordance with Articles
110-16 and 110-18 of the National Electric Code,
ANSI/NFPA 70.
