HOPPER SYSTEM
IMPELLER MOTOR REMOVAL
WARNING!
Remove key and disconnect battery before servicing impeller.

Raise and support hopper cover.

See Figure 6.4. Raise and support shaker assembly and remove Filter
(Q)
.

Remove 11 bolts from access cover and remove cover.

Disconnect the 2 wires at the Impeller Motor. Note location of wires for reassemble.

Next remove the four Bolts
(R)
from Impeller Motor Mounting Plate and remove impeller assembly from machine.

Remove center Screw
(S)
and washer from impeller motor shaft and remove Impeller Fan
(T)
.

Reassemble in reverse order. Note wire connection for proper rotation.
HOPPER INTERLOCK SWITCH REPLACEMENT

Open and latch the hopper filter cover to gain access to the S3 hopper interlock switch (located on the left side of the hopper).

Disconnect the switch wiring connector then remove the switch mount bracket (held by 2 screws).

Unfasten the defective magnetic switch from the mounting bracket and replace with a new switch reusing the original screw and nut.

Lightly position the switch on top of the metal frame edge and secure in place with the (2) bracket mounting screws.
Service Note: The magnetic switch circuit is closed when it is positioned (placed) the correct distance to its metal contact surface. When the hopper
is opened this distance is increased (widened) and the switch circuit contact opens and this signals the A2 hopper open indicator light to come on.
With the hopper indicator light on it prevents (shuts down) the auto sweep and scrub machine functions.
