SCRUB DECK ASSEMBLY REMOVAL
1
Remove both scrub deck side skirts and Squeegee assembly. Then lower the scrub deck and leave the scrub brushes on so that the deck can
slide easily to remove.
2
See Figure 8.2. Remove the scrub deck lift cylinder Clevis Pin
(A)
and Hair Pin
(B)
from its deck mount. Service Note: Then raise the scrub
deck to retract (shorten) deck cylinder to allow needed clearance so the cylinder rod clears the deck-mounting pocket.
3
Turn the Key Switch to the OFF position, set the Parking Brake and disconnect the batteries.
4
Loosen the Hose Clamp
(C)
and pry the solution feed hose off from the solution valve barbed Fitting
(D)
.
5
Remove the wires at the Brush Motors. Note wire locations. See Figure 8.1
6
Remove the (4)
(E)
Nuts and
(F)
Screws that fasten the Lifting Arms
(G)
to their scrub deck mount holes. Service Note: Be careful not to lose
the deck lifting arm Bushings
(H)
.
7
Use the steering wheel to turn the rear drive wheel so the drive gear-case points towards the rear of machine (tire right angle to chassis).
8
Complete the deck removal by pulling the deck assembly out from the left side of the machine by maneuvering it around the remaining lift
arms.
SCRUB DECK ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
Installation note for the lower scrub deck lift motor pin: Position the bottom end of the lift motor shaft directly over its deck mount attachment point
(pocket). Then lower the lift motor shaft by pressing either the operator increase or decrease switch. See Figure 8.2. With the lift motor shaft
extended manually raise the scrub deck to insert the Mounting Pin
(A)
and reverse above order to finish the deck installation. Note Illustration (8.1)
for proper wire locations on the scrub motors.
FIGURE 8.1
Important Service Note:
Use wire connections shown above, but reverse the leads if the proper brush rotation is not achieved.
SCRUB DECK LIFT ACTUATOR MOTOR REMOVAL
1
Remove solution tank. See
Solution Tank Removal
instructions in this manual.
2
Remove both scrub deck side skirts and squeegee assembly. Next place a 2x4 under the center scrub brush and then lower the scrub deck.
3
See Figure 8.2. Remove the scrub deck lift motor lower mount Pin
(A)
from its deck mount. Service Note: Then raise the deck by pressing the
Scrub Off Switch this will allow the needed clearance so the lift motor shaft clears the deck-mounting pocket.
4
Disconnect the lift motor plug.
5
Remove the top inboard Hair Pin
(I)
then remove Pin
(J)
that secures the lift motor to the frame. Then remove the lift motor through the bottom
of the machine.
NOTE 1:
If motor does not raise it will be necessary to jack the rear of the machine to gain the needed clearance to remove the Lift Motor.
NOTE 2:
If the motor does not lower it will be necessary to use a jack to raise and lower the scrub deck to remove the mounting pins and lift
motor.
SCRUB BRUSH MOTOR REMOVAL
1
Remove the scrub deck assembly by following the
Scrub Deck Assembly Removal
instructions in this manual section.
2
With the scrub deck assembly removed tip it on its edge to access the non-functioning brush motor and remove the scrub brush on the motor
to be serviced.
3
See Figure 8.2. Remove the center drive hub retaining Screw
(K)
, then pry off the complete Brush Holder Assembly
(L)
from the motor shaft.
Service Tip: When experiencing difficulty removing the brush holder assembly (stubborn drive hub) it will be necessary to remove the (3)
(M)
Coupler Screws that fastens the brush holder to the drive hub. This will allow the needed work area to use a gear puller to remove the drive
hub.
4
Next remove the motor mounting hardware and separate the motor from the deck.
5
To reinstall see
Scrub Deck Assembly Installation
in this manual.
