Delivery
Each ADVANCE paraglider must be flown by the dealer and checked
for correct basic setting and trim. After doing this the dealer enters
the date of the first flight on the manufacturer’s label fixed to the cell-
dividing wall in the centre of the canopy. This entry, together with the
return of a correctly completed warranty card to ADVANCE, will en-
sure that defects in the product attributable to a manufacturing fault
are covered by the ADVANCE warranty (see Warranty in the «Ser-
vice» section).
The BIBETA 4 comes with a backpack, an inner bag, a compression
strap, a repair kit, a choice of hard or soft spreaders (with the further
option of soft spreaders adjustable for height), a user manual with
warranty card and service booklet, and an ADVANCE mini-windsock.
Basic set-up
The basic set-up of the BIBETA 4 at delivery is that which has been
found to be ideal by the ADVANCE test team; it is in this condition
that the glider was awarded its certification. Any unapproved chan-
ges or modifications, such as changes to the line lengths or the at-
tachment of other risers or quick links by the owner, will result in the
paraglider losing its certification (see the «Certification» section).

Fitting the aluminium brake bars
The aluminium bars are a practical way of creating comfortable brake
handling. They make for a tension-free hand-hold and help with direct
and precise steering. To fit them just screw the two halves together
by hand through the eyelets on the brake handles.
Caution: Only use the aluminium bars on the matching
ADVANCE brake handles with the eyelets.
