DUST CONTROL SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem: Dust flows out of broom housing while sweeping.
Possible Cause and Remedy:

Operator running machine with engine speed switch in the IDLE position. Instruct operator to run ma-
chine with switch in HIGH SPEED position.

Operator running machine with dust control lever in the OFF position. Instruct operator to put dust control
lever in ON position when sweeping on dry floors.

Dust control filter clogged. Hold dust control lever in SHAKE position for 15 seconds. Leave lever
forward until shaker motor stops. Then move lever to DUST CONTROL ON position and try sweeping
again.

Dust control filter clogged with heavy build-up of dirt, too much for shaker to remove. Follow instructions
under
Cleaning the Dust Control Filter
.

Lower impeller drive belts loose or broken. Adjust tension or replace belts.

Torn skirts on broom housing. Replace skirts.

Hopper not sealing against broom housing. Replace gaskets, clean debris from sealing surfaces on
hopper and broom housing, or adjust hopper.

Dump door not sealing against hopper. Replace gaskets, clean debris from sealing surfaces, or adjust
hopper door.
