The back and hip adjustments should be set in conjunction with each
other. They are both critical for comfort on long flights. If they are set
up properly long flights can be made without strain on the stomach
and shoulder muscles.
Info: Tight hip straps make it difficult to get in the seat after
takeoff. With loosened hip straps you’ll slide back easily.
Tip: You can help hip strap adjustment by moving your
weight. To tighten the straps hollow your back. To loosen
them push your weight into the seat.
