Important
The internal temperature of the converter box and sensor heads should always
be within the ambient temperature range specifications. See
Limit Switch
Your converter box is equipped with a relay contact controlled by the measuring
signal. The switch point of this relay is adjustable within the temperature
measurement range. With this function, you can select to have the contact open or
closed when the measured temperature is either above or below a set temperature.
You can adjust the limit switch settings using the
SP1
and
SP1/TEMP
values for
converter boxes with a display, or via the
t1
,
ss
,
sx
, and
s1
UPP commands.

Hysteresis
With this function, you can adjust the switch point of the relay contact to open and
close only when the measure temperature is above or below (depending on the limit
switch setting) a value that consists of the
SP1/TEMP
and the adjusted hysteresis.
You can adjust the hysteresis setting using the
SP1/HYST
value for converters with a
built-in display, or via the
hl
UPP command.

MAINTENANCE
Replacing the Sensor Head
All sensor heads can be interchanged with any other sensor head without restriction.
When more than one sensor cable is connected to the converter box, any combination
of the available sensor heads is possible.
TO REPLACE THE SENSOR HEAD
1. Loosen the screw nuts and disconnect the M8 connector (male socket) of the
sensor head from the M8 connector (female socket) of the sensor cable.
2. With the new sensor head, align the pins and connect the M8 connector (male
socket) to the M8 connector (female socket) of the sensor cable.
