Periodic Calibration
Advanced Energy recommends checking the Impac pyrometer for proper calibration
every 12 months. Contact AE Technical Support Organization for calibration
recommendations.
Inspection and Cleaning
Contamination and damage to the pyrometer can severely impact the measurement
accuracy. Advanced Energy recommends cleaning the pyrometer lens with isopropyl
alcohol using cotton swabs or wipes, or standard cloths for cleaning glasses or photo
lenses.
☞
Important
Inspecting the pyrometer lens for scratches or nicks is important for the Impac
pyrometer. Damage to the lens can dramatically affect measurement accuracy.
Using a damaged pyrometer will negatively impact the measurement accuracy. If
the pyrometer is physically damaged, return the pyrometer to Advanced Energy for
repair and recalibration or replacement. See
“Service, Repairs, and Upgrades”
Refurbishment Schedule
To maintain optimal performance of your Impac unit, AE recommends a 3 – 5 year
refurbishment schedule. Contact AE Technical Support Organization within this
timeframe to determine if any refurbishment is recommended for your unit.
