Table B‑2. Temperature measurement specifications (Continued)
Description
Specification
T
k
of uncertainty: 0.03% per °C or 0.05°C per °C at 25°C
ambient temperature (T
amb
), whichever value is greater. The
pyrometer must be at a constant ambient temperature for a
minimum of 15 minutes.
☞
Important
A correct temperature measurement is impossible if the
temperature of the measured object is more than 85°C
(185°F) below the temperature of the sensor head. This
will result in the temperature reading being too high,
without triggering an error message.
Repeatability
IN 600 and IN 600/5:
0.5% of measured °C value or 0.8°C, whichever value is
greater
IS 600, IGA 600, and IGA 600/23:
0.25% of measured °C + 1°C
Noise Equivalent Temperature
Difference (NETD)
t
90
= 180 ms: 0.1°C
Measured temperature = 23°C and emissivity = 1
Measuring temperature above
the temperature measurement
range
The display will show
OVER
when the measured temperature is
higher than either the basic temperature measurement range or
the set subrange.
Measuring temperature below
the temperature measurement
range
The display will show a value that is 1°C (1°F) lower than the
set temperature measurement range.
For example, if the set temperature measurement range is
100°C to 500°C, and the measured temperature is < 100°C,
the display will show a value of
99.0°C
.
