Chapter 3: Configuring the media gateway
numbers to RightFax routing codes, assign phone numbers to the
channels in the gateway administration program.
To assign fax numbers to fax lines
1. Sign in to the gateway administration program. See
the gateway administration program
2. Open the
Automatic Dialing
page (
Setup
menu >
Signaling &
Media
tab >
Gateway
folder >
Analog Gateway
folder >
Automatic Dialing
.)
3. Click the row of the port, and then click
Edit
.
4. In the
Destination Phone Number
box, enter the RightFax
routing code (DID/DNIS) that you want to associate with the
port.
5. In the
Auto Dial Status
list, select one of the following options:
l
enable
. If a ring signal is detected on the port, the gateway
dials the destination phone number for the port.
l
disable
. No automatic dialing occurs.
l
hotline
. Digit routing or Dual-Tone Multifrequency (DTMF)
routing can occur. If no digits are entered during the DTMF
session, the gateway dials the destination phone number for
the port.
6. Click
Save
, and then click
Reset
.
Setting the parameter for number of rings
You can customize the number of rings the server's FXO interface
waits to answer a call.
To set the number of rings
1. Sign in to the gateway administration program. See
the gateway administration program
2. In the same browser window, open the gateway's Admin Page
(
http://<
remote doctransport server IP
>:5050/AdminPage
).
3. Click
ini Parameters
.
4. In the
Parameter Name
box, enter
FXONUMBEROFRINGS
.
5. In the
Enter Value
box, enter a value between 0 and 255.
When set to
0
, the FXO seizes the line after one ring. When set
to
1
, the FXO seizes the line after two rings. The default setting
is 0.
6. Click
Apply New Value
. The Output Window shows the name
of the parameter, the new value, and a description.
7. Click
Back to Main
.
8. Click
Save
, and then click
Reset
.
