The front panel display allows an operator to view information on a number of critical operating
parameters. Use

MPLIFIER

HUTDOWN
An amplifier can shutdown due to a FAULT or as a result of a hardware or software command.
A software shutdown is performed at either the front panel or by selecting the MUTE ON
function key sending the appropriate code via the RS-485 serial interface (see
Section 6.3.2
at
page 24). The amplifier can be restarted in a similar manner provided a hardware shutdown is
not in effect. The amplifier can also be restarted by powering off & on the PA.
When the amplifier resumes operation, the attenuation level will return to its previous setting
after about 2 minutes of stable operation. Note however that the amplifier will not restart if a
FAULT condition is detected.

ORTS
The input and output monitor ports on the front panel provide a means to measure input and
output signals (in dBm) using appropriate test equipment. The coupling loss, normally associated
with RF sample, must be added to the power level measured at the sample port in order to obtain
the proper value for input or output power level.
