Chapter 2
Introduction
The VERDICT™ Diagnostic Platform is a specialized personal automotive diagnostic solution that
combines information with test instrumentation to help you diagnose symptoms, codes, and
complaints quickly and efficiently, test vehicle systems and components, access service records
and recorded data, and verify repairs. There are three main components to the VERDICT system:
•
Display Device—the processor and monitor
•
Data Acquisition Module—the wireless transmitter and receiver
•
Vehicle Interface—the connection for accessing vehicle data
This manual describes the construction and operation of the D7 Display device, which works in
conjunction with other system components. A variety of main components, accessories, and
optional equipment allows you to custom build a VERDICT system to your personal specifications.
