Installing DRAM (SIMMs)
The PCM-5862E/5862EL CPU card provides two 72-pin SIMM
(Single In-line Memory Module) sockets and supports either Fast
Page Mode (FPM) or Extended Data Output (EDO) DRAM with a
speed of 70 ns or faster. You can install from 8 MB to 128 MB of
RAM.
Installing SIMMs
NOTE:
The modules can only fit into a socket one way.
Their chips must face the CPU, and their gold pins
must point down into the SIMM socket.
