Safety Precautions - Static Electricity
Follow these simple precautions to protect yourself from harm and the products from
damage.
To avoid electrical shock, always disconnect the power from the PC chassis
before manual handling. Do not touch any components on the CPU card or
other cards while the PC is powered on.
Disconnect the power before making any configuration changes. A sudden rush
of power after connecting a jumper or installing a card may damage sensitive
electronic components.

Instructions for safe use:

The field wiring cable should be rated ≥ 90°C.

Input terminal block (CN1) should be installed with 12-16AWG wires and
secured with 7 lb-in torque valve.

I/O terminal block (CN7) and COM terminal block (CN8) should be installed
with 18-22AWG wire.

Special conditions of safe use:

The equipment shall only be used in an area of at least pollution degree 2, as
defined in IEC 60664-1.

The equipment shall be mounted in vertical position and installed in an enclo

sure that provides a minimum ingress protection of IP54 in accordance with
IEC 60079-0 and only accessible by the use of a tool.

Transient protection shall be provided that is set at a level not exceeding
140% of the peak rated voltage value at the supply terminal to the equip
-
ment.
