Restore Prior Settings
When a trace is recalled from the memory, the TDR must be restored to the
settings used at the time the trace was saved. If you desire to return to the
original settings being used before one or more traces were recalled, press the
key to access the memory functions menu shown in Figure 4-5.

Then use the

key to move the cursor down to “PRIOR SETTINGS” and press
the
►
key to restore the TDR’s settings. This includes the Cable Type, Z
0
, VF,
Range, Z Scale, Cursors, and all Meter and Trace menu settings in use before
recalling the traces from memory. The TDR will return to the Measurement
Screen with all these setting restored.
Editing the Cable List
General
The TDR’S’s Cable List memory is capable of holding 64 cable types with their
Impedance (Z
0
) and Velocity Factor (VF). Each model of the TDR has a cable list
stored at the factory that is aligned with the connectors and model ordered. Not
all lists contain 64 cable types. Available storage is at the bottom of the lists
marked by “OPEN n.” The n = number of remaining open slots. The factory
default Models and Cable Lists are:
