Changing the default settings

Dialog
After selecting L/T or Stereo in the menu Downmix you have the
possibility to set the volume of the dialogs. Use the
Cursor button
to increase or
Cursor button
to reduce the volume of the
dialogs.
D.R.C
The function D.R.C serves the purpose of limiting the max.
adjustable volume in order to prevent the speakers from being
damaged.
ON:
The max. adjustable volume is limited.
OFF:
The limitation for the max. adjustable volume is disabled.
AUTO:
Automatic limitation of the max. adjustable volume
(standard setting).
Digital audio setup
Digital output
Here you specify the settings for the digital Audio output.
SPDIF Off:
Output of an analogue Audio signal, but no digital
signal.
SPDIF/RAW:
Output of a digital Audio signal. Use this setting if
your amplifier is no two-channel stereo amplifier.
SPDIF/PCM:
Output of a digital Audio signal that is converted to
a 2-channel signal. Use this setting if your amplifier is a two-
channel stereo amplifier
Manual:
Activate this function if you would like to make the
settings for the digital audio output manually for various formats.
The menu options "CD", "Dolby Digital", "DTS" and "MPG"
are
then available. Make the required settings.
NOTE:
The menu "Dialog" is only available, if the option "L/T" or the
option "Stereo" has been activated in the menu "Downmix".

NOTE:
If there is no Audio output, even though you connected the DVD-
Player to an amplifier, you will most likely have chosen an
incorrect setting for the Audio output.
