Connect the mains lead of the alternating current adapter to a cor-
rectly installed shockproof socket. The charging indicator CHARGE
lights up in red.
ATTENTION:
The supplied mains lead and alternating current adapter are
only intended for use with this device. Do not use it with other
equipment.
If the device is not going to be used for a prolonged period the
mains lead must be removed from the power socket.
Do not recharge the battery while the DVD player is being opera-
ted.
Recharging is fi nished when the charging indicator switches off.
Remove the mains lead from the alternating current adapter and then
the battery from the charging device.
Inserting the Rechargeable Battery
Connect in the appropriate position on the rear of the device.

NOTE:
If the power of the rechargeable battery falls, playback stops.
If the POWER indicator (Fig. 1/19) on the front of the device
starts to fl ash during playback, the charge level of the battery is
low. The battery has to be charged up.
Do not short-circuit the terminals.
Only the original adapter and the original charging device should
be used to charge up the battery.
Remove the battery. (Even if the device is switched off it still
uses a small amount of electricity. This may cause an overload
of the battery and malfunctions).
Charge up the battery shortly before the next time it is used.
If the battery is not going to be used for a prolonged period it
must be discharged and stored in a cool, dry and dark place.
Never throw into a fi re or water; do not heat.
Do not open the charged battery. Repairs must be carried out by
a qualifi ed technician.
