Video Output
Select the video output option for the playback device that is connected and
which you wish to use.
Choosing the right signal format depends on the type
of connection and the playback device (see also the operating manual of the
replay unit).
S-VIDEO:
Choose this option if your replay device supports progressive
signals and is connected to the DVD-Player by means of an S-Video cable.
Component:
Choose this option if your replay device supports progressi-
ve signals and is connected to the DVD-Player by means of a Component-
Video cable.
RGB:
Select this option if your playback device is connected to the DVD
player via the SCART connection.
P-Scan:
Choose this option if your playback device supports progressive
signals and is connected to the DVD-Player by means of a Component-
Video cable.
NOTE:
If you would like to select the „RGB“ setting, please ensure that your
playback device supports this setting.
If the „S-VIDEO“ or „P-Scan“ option is activated but your playback device
does not support Progressive Scan signals, no picture is displayed.
By pressing the
V-MODE
button (Fig. 3/18) you can also switch between
the video output options.
Bass Management
For activating or deactivating the

A
udio,
S
urround,
S
ound (Bass)
Management function.
On:
The Bass Management function is activated.
Off:
The Bass Management function is deactivated.
NOTE:
When the Bass Management function is deactivated it is not possible to turn
the individual loudspeakers to „small“.
Front speakers; Center speaker; Surround speakers
Here it is possible to set the characteristics of the loudspeakers.
Large:
The loudspeaker supports a frequency band below 200 Hz.
Small:
The loudspeaker supports a frequency band above 200 Hz.
None:
The loudspeaker does not produce any audio signals.
