RADIO MODE
Setting the Frequency Band (Radio)
Band Selection
In the radio mode, press the PAUSE/BAND button to
switch between FM and MW.
Automatic Station Search
1. If the SEARCH button is pressed in radio mode and
the automatic station search is activated, the unit
searches for and stores all available radio stations.
If more than 40 stations are found, the search stops
and the unit switches to the fi rst station found.
2. Press “F.FWD” or “F.RWD“ to determine the direction
of search. As soon as the unit fi nds a station the
search is stopped.
Manual Search
During automatic search mode press the FF or FR but-
tons. Each time the FF or FR button is pressed the unit
changes the search frequency in steps of 50 kHz (FM) or
9 kHz (MW).
Storing Stations
1. As soon as the desired station has been correctly
tuned into, it can be stored using the MEMORY /
STOP button. Two asterisks then fl ash in the display,
followed by the station frequency.
2. With the number buttons you can then change
directly to the desired station (insofar as this has
been stored). There are a total of 40 station storage
locations available. If the station number is less than
10, the fi gure 0 has to be entered fi rst.
Example: in order to change to the station stored in
location 9, enter the fi gures 09. If you enter a fi gure
above 40, the system automatically changes to
storage location 40.
Direct Input of the Station Frequency
If the frequency consists of four fi gures, the input has
to be confi rmed with the SELECT button. Example: If
you enter the fi gure 8780 and press the SELECT button,
the system changes to the station transmitting on the
frequency 87.80 MHz. On the other hand, if you enter
10620 (i.e. a number with fi ve digits), it is not necessary
to press the SELECT button.
Direct Station Selection
It is possible to select the desired (stored) station directly
using the number buttons. First press the SELECT but-
ton and then the storage location. If the storage location
is below 10, please enter a 0 fi rst (example: in order to
select the station stored at storage location 9, enter 09).
PS
This stands for program server. This function
provides information on the station, e.g. traffi c
information, news, weather information etc. If no
signal is available, „NO-PS“ is displayed.
PTY stands for programme type. The programme type
of the station is shown. If no signal is available
„NO-PTY“ is displayed.
RT
stands for radio text: The text information of the
RDS signal is forwarded. If no signal is available
„NO-PTY“ is displayed.
CLK stands for clock. The date and time are shown. If
no signal is available „NO_CLK“ is displayed.
Deleting Stations
During playback press the SELECT button. The display
„---“ disappears. Now enter the station to be deleted
and press the CLEAR button. The station is now deleted
and the device changes automatically to the transmis-
sion frequency 87.5 MHz. The deleted station initially
remains in the station list. As soon as you change to
another station or call up another function the station is
deleted permanently.
MISCELLANEOUS
Standby Mode
Press the STANDBY button during standby mode in
order to return the player to the mode in which it was
before it was changed to standby. The device starts in
the DVD mode.
PAL / NTSC
With the PAL/NTSC button you can change between the
television norm settings NTSC, PAL and MULTI (Multi =
automatic selection). Note: With this button you can only
adjust the output signal of the player, not the norm used
by the television set.
Function Selection
By pressing the FUNCTION button repeatedly (during
playback) it is possible to change between the following
operating modes: DVD - AUX IN - FM.

1. During playback the volume can be set with the
VOL+ and VOL- buttons. In the SPDIF output mode
(DVD) the volume cannot be adjusted using these
buttons.
2. First press the VOL-SET button and then adjust the
desired level using the VOL+ and VOL-buttons.
Note: This function is not available in the radio mode.
Switching between Mono and Stereo (FM)
In FM mode press the ZOOM/ST button in order to
switch between stereo and mono reception. The current
reception mode is shown in the display.
Playing back and displaying MP3, WMA and JPEG
DISCS
Title Display (Menu Selection)
Call up the main directory using the MENU button. With
the arrow buttons you can change to the desired sub-
directory. Confi rm your choice with the SELECT button.
With the arrow buttons you can return at any time to the
higher-level directory.
Note: The F.FWD and F.RWD buttons have no function
in this mode. With the SKIP- and SKIP+ buttons you can
switch between the individual pages on the screen.
