Hygiene
For reasons of hygiene the device should be used by one individual only. Bacte-
ria which penetrate the skin may result in infl ammation. For this reason you
should clean the epilation head thoroughly each time before use. This largely
reduces the danger of infections.
In which cases is medical advice required?
Do you have any doubts concerning whether you should use this device? In
the following cases you should consult your doctor: if you suff er from eczema,
cuts, infl amed skin reactions such as folliculitis (purulent hair follicles) and
varicose veins; in the area of moles, if you have an impaired immune system of
the skin (as can occur with diabetes), during pregnancy, if you have Raynaud‘s
syndrome, if you are a haemophiliac or have an impaired immune system.
Tips
• The ideal hair length for epilation is 2 to 5 mm. We recommend that the
hairs be shortened to this length beforehand.
• The
fi rst use of this device may result in reddening of the skin. It is best
to epilate in the evening in order that the skin can recover overnight.
Moisture creams may also help.
• Thin hairs can grow into the skin. Body peeling removes the top layer of
the skin so that fi ne hairs can reach the surface.
How to Perform Epilation
• First charge up the battery.
• Clean the epilation head every time before use.
• Your skin must be dry and free of grease.
• Use the switch to select level «1» (normal speed) or «2» (increased speed).
• Use your free hand to make the skin taut so that the hairs stand on end.
쫵
NOTE:
In order to ensure optimum epilation, hold the device at right angles (90°) to
the skin and move it without pressure with the side on which the switch is
located against the direction in which the hair grows.
Epilation of the Legs
Epilate from the bottom to the top. When you remove hairs from the hollow of
the knee, the leg must always be kept straight.
