USE OF THE HEATER
This convector is equipped with an adjustable thermostat which maintains the desired room temperature
automatically switching on and off the appliance.
The more the lever of the thermostat is pushed down , the higher is the set temperature.
The minimum setting position of the thermostat
corresponds to an ambient temperature between 5 °C and
10 °C. The maximum setting is around 30 °C.
When the heater will be put in function a red pilot light will switch on: the convector starts heating at 500 W power.
When the set temperature will be reached the thermostat will switch off the heater and the pilot light will switch off
as well.
USE OF THE THERMOSTAT
In a room with a temperature higher than 30 °C, the thermostat does not turn on the heater even if it is at maximum
setting.
Vice-versa, in a room with a very low temperature (below 5-10 °C), the thermostat keeps the heater constantly on,
even if it is at minimum setting.
To optimise use of the thermostat, proceed as follows:
-
push the thermostat lever to maximum position (down) and wait until a comfortable temperature is reached;
-
then push up the thermostat lever until you hear a “click” and the heater turns off. The pilot light turns off as
well.
-
Push again the thermostat lever down, just a little; in this position, the thermostat will maintain the selected
ambient temperature.
SAFETY IN CASE OF ABNORMAL OPERATION
In the event of overheating, the safety device on the appliance automatically disables the heating element. As a
result, the heater stops working, even though the pilot light stays on. In this case:
-
Turn off the fan heater pushing the lever in minimum position. The pilot light will switch off. If you can, unplug
it as well.
-
Allow the heater to cool down for about 15/20 minutes.
-
Eliminate any possible reasons for overheating (e.g.: obstructions in front of the air inlet/outlet grilles, build-
ups of dirt, obstacles which are too close to the heater. Check the correct safe positioning of the heater.
-
Turn on the heater again and check it works correctly.
-
If the product needs servicing, call in a qualified specialised technician.
If you notice irregular operation, damage to the heating element or to the structure of the appliance, disconnect the
product from the mains power supply and contact your technical assistance center or dealer.
MAINTENANCE
This heater does not require any particular maintenance.
We recommend to clean at least twice a year the air inlet and air outlet grids with a vacuum cleaner to remove dust
from the heating element.
In case you need to repair it, please contact an authorized repairing center : special screws have been used to
close the heater and prevent access to the internal components
If the supply powercord is to be changed, please mind that a 2x0,75 mm
2
H05VVF HAR cordset is to be used: do
not do the job yourselves! Take the product to an after sales authorised repair centre or to a person with similar
skill and knowledge, in order to avoid any risk of danger.
