PASSWORD MODE: Activating password mode
In the menu item PASSWORD MODE, you can activate the password settings by selecting the ON option. Only if
you have activated the password settings can you enter your own password and set a parental control level.
Select the OFF option, to deactivate the password settings.
PASSWORD: Set Password
In the PASSWORD menu you can set your own password to lock the machine. Your personal password should
prevent unauthorised persons (e.g. children) from being able to play DVD discs with blocked content (e.g. scenes of
violence or of a sexual nature).
The user must enter the valid password each time a disc with blocked content needs to be played (refer to the
chapter on “PARENTAL.: Parental control“). If this is not done, the disc will not play.
To change the password (set the user defined password):
1. Enter the old password or the default (universal) password 138900.
• If you open the password menu for the first time, you must enter the default (universal) Password 138900.
2. Then enter the new password. Using the digit buttons 0-9, enter a number of your choice. That is your pass-
word.
3. Press PLAY/ENTER, to activate the new password.
