VIDEO PORT (CVBS, COMPOSITE VIDEO)
The VIDEO PORT (CVBS, COMPOSITE VIDEO, yellow jack) only carries Video signals (pictures). An additional audio
connection to the connected television is required for sound transmission.
Connection set-up: Video Signal transmission
Switch on the two devices and if required select the VIDEO or AV channel for the television.
For picture transmission (Video-Signal), connect the VIDEO INPUT of a television via an RCA cable directly to the
VIDEO (VIDEO output) of the device.
Connection set-up: Audio-Signal transmission
For sound transmission (Audio-Signal), use an audio cable to connect the left (L) and the right (R) audio output of
the device (FL and FR AUDIO OUTPUT) to the corresponding audio inputs of the connected television to the con-
nected speakers (Audio system). For sound transmission you can also use the supplied speakers (the system audio
ports). For details see chapter on “Connection to audio devices“.
Connection set-up: Video output option
To set the correct option of the video output for the VIDEO connection:
1. During playback of a disc or after pausing play by pressing the
STOP button, press the SETUP button on the
remote control to open the Setup menu.

select the third icon VIDEO SETUP in the top menu bar and press the PLAY/EN-
TER button to display the Menu items.
3. Using the Navigation button

select the menu item VIDEO OUTPUT.
4. Then press the Navigation button

, to select the available options for the video output.
5. Using the Navigation button

select an option.
6. Then press the PLAY/ENTER button, to activate Setup.
7. Press the SETUP button, to exit the Setup menu.
COMPONENT PORT (COMPONENT VIDEO, YUV, Y, Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr)
The COMPONENT PORT (YUV, Y, Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr; COMPONENT VIDEO OUTPUT, green-blue-red jacks) only carry video
signals (pictures). An additional Audio connection to the connected television is required for sound transmission.
Connection Set-up: Video-Signal transmission
For picture transmission (Video-Signal), connect the Component input of a television via a component cable
directly to the VIDEO OUTPUT (Component output) of the DVD system MC 4434 DVD/USB/CR (COMPONENT VIDEO
OUTPUT, YUV, green-blue-red jacks). You can use the supplied 6 plug audio /video cable for this purpose.
Connection Set-up: Audio-Signal transmission
For sound transmission (Audio-Signal), use an audio cable to connect the left (L) and right (R) audio output of the
device (FL and FR AUDIO OUTPUT) to the corresponding audio inputs of the connected television or the connected
speakers (audio system). For sound transmission you can use the supplied speaker (the system audio ports). For
