SETUP: Open setup menu
1. Whilst a DVD disc is playing or after you have paused play using the STOP button, press the SETUP button to
open the System Setup menu.
2. In the System setup menu you can change the settings of the DVD player. For more details, refer to the “SETUP:
System Setup menu“ chapter.
3. Press the SETUP button again to exit the System Setup menu.
RESET: Restore the factory setting (defaults)
Using the RESET button you can restore the factory settings (defaults) and thus cancel all user defined changes
made after the machine has left the factory.
To restore the factory settings:
1. Whilst a disc is playing, press the
STOP button twice to stop playback.
2. Then press the EJECT , button, to open the disc tray and remove the disc.
3. Press EJECT again to close the disc tray.
4. Then press the RESET button to restore the factory settings (defaults). LOAD FACTORY SETTING is briefly dis-
played on the screen.
5. The system deletes all changes to the system settings which have been made by the user and restores the fac-
tory settings.
Note:
If the machine does not work properly, the cause could be incorrect settings. In such cases you should press the
RESET button to restore the factory settings.
PAL/NTSC: TV-Standard/colour broadcast system (PAL, AUTO or NTSC)
If the picture presentation of the television does not work properly after connecting to the DVD system (e.g. only
black & white picture, blurred colours), you must set the correct option for the TV Standard/colour broadcast
system (PAL, AUTO or NTSC):
To select the correct colour broadcast system for your television, press the PAL/NTSC button on the FB. Each time
you press the PAL/NTSC button you select a new TV-Standard.
The following colour broadcast systems are available:
• PAL: Select this option if the DVD system is connected to a PAL system television. The PAL colour broadcast
system is mainly used in Europe, but also in Australia, South America as well as in many African and Asian
countries.
• AUTO: Select this option if the DVD system is connected to a multi system television, (compatible with the PAL-
as well as the NTSC colour broadcast system).
• NTSC: Select this option if the DVD system is connected to an NTSC system television.The NTSC colour broadcast
system is used in many parts of the Americas and in several countries in the Far East.
DVD-Player: Audio Functions
VOL + and VOL-: Adjust volume
1. Press the VOL+ button to increase the volume.
2. Press the VOL- button to reduce the volume.
