Playing a music fi le
1. Switch on the MP3 player.
2. Press
the
II
button (1) to start playback (
appears in the
display).
3. Playing of the fi les stored on the device starts.
4. Briefl y press the
II
button (1) to pause playback (
II
appears in the display).
5. Briefl y press the
II
button (1) again to continue playback
from the same point.
Volume control
1. If the VOL/R button (3) is pressed briefl y the volume bar (7)
begins to fl ash in the display. To increase the volume, press
and hold the „
I
“ button (2) until the desired volume has
been set. The volume level is indicated by a volume bar (7)
on the display.
2. If the VOL/R button (3) is pressed briefl y the volume bar (7)
begins to fl ash in the display. To decrease the volume, press
and hold the „
I
“ button (3) until the desired volume has
been set. The volume level is indicated by a volume bar (7)
on the display.
NOTE:
The volume can only be modifi ed for as long as the volume
bar (7) is fl ashing.
WARNING:
Listening at high volumes can harm your ears.
Skip to previous/next fi le

Plays one track before that, etc. Press and hold
the button to activate track search (the sound is
muted).

Use this button to skip to the next track, or the track after the
next. Press and hold the button to activate track search (the
sound is muted).
Stop playback
Hold down the „
II
“ button (1) for approx. 2 seconds while a
piece of music is being played back. „
“ appears in the display.
A-B (Repeat Passage)
Passages within a music fi le can be selected and repeated.
1.
During playback press the
M
button (8) in the desired piece
of music when the starting point is reached from where the
music should be repeated (A - appears in the display).
2.
Press the
M
button (8) when the point is reached at which
the repeat should end (A - B appears in the display). The
device is now in the A-B mode and begins with repeat
playback.
3.
Press the
M
button (8) again to deactivate the A-B mode.
Dictation Function
1. Hold down the VOL/R key (3). REC and (for example)
V001.WAV appear in the display. Recording begins auto-
matically.
2. To stop recording press the
M
button (8) (VOC appears in
the display).
3. In order to listen to the recorded fi le, select the correspon-
ding recording number with the
I
/
I
keys (4/5) and
press the
II
key (1).
4. If you would like to change back to the MP3 mode, press the
M
key (8) and select the „Music“ mode.
5. Then
confi rm with the
M
key (8).
NOTE:
• In order to delete the recording again please proceed as
described under „Deleting a Music File“.
• Whenever you are recording please ensure that the
microphone is pointing in the direction of the sound source
and is not blocked by objects, hands etc.
• During recording only the
M
key (8) can be pressed.
Main Menu
In the main menu it is possible to choose between the „Music“,
„Voice “, „Settings“, „Delete“, „Information “ and „Browser“
modes.
• In order to call up the main menu keep the
M
button (8)
pressed down for approx. 2 seconds.
Navigating in the Menu
1. Press the „
I
“ (right) or „
I
“ (left) button (4/5) in the
main menu to select the desired mode. The menu image
of the selected mode appears in the display with a dark
backing.
2. Press
M
(8) to confi rm your selection and change to the
corresponding submenu.
NOTE:
The device leaves the menu if no key is operated for approxi-
mately 5 seconds.
Music
In order to change from the WAV mode back to the MP3 mode.
Voice (Microphone)
To change from the MP3 mode to the WAV mode. You should
then proceed as described under „Dictation Function“.
NOTE:
• In order to delete the recording again please proceed as
described under „Deleting a Music File“.
• Whenever you are recording please ensure that the
microphone is pointing in the direction of the sound source
and is not blocked by objects, hands etc.
