Correct positioning of foods
For physical reasons, different
temperature zones are formed
inside the refrigerator compart-
ment. The coldest zone is on
the bottom shelf, just above
the fruit and vegetable contai-
ners. The warmest zones are
the top shelves and the door
shelves. The diagram shows
the most suitable places to sto-
re different types of food.
Advice:
Cover or wrap all food before
placing it in the refrigerator
compartment. This will prevent
it from drying out or transmit-
ting smells to other stored
foods.
The following materials are
suitable:
- plastic bags or food wrap
- plastic containers with lids;
- special, elasticised plastic covers;
- aluminium foil.
Freezing and storing frozen food
You can use your freezer for freezing fresh food yourself.
Important!
¥ The temperature in the freezer compartment must be Ð18 ¡C or col-
der before freezing food.
¥ Please observe the freezing capacity given on the rating plate. The
freezing capacity is the maximum quantity of fresh food that can be
frozen within a period of 24 hours. If you wish to freeze food seve-
ral days in a row, please observe a maximum capacity of only 2/3 to
