Battery compartment
Start-up of the Device / Introduction
• Select a suitable location for the device, such as a dry,
fl at, non-slip surface on which it is easy to operate the
machine.
• Ensure that the device is suffi ciently ventilated!
• Sensitive surfaces, such as the display, might be protect-
ed with fi lms. Remove such fi lms.
Power Supply
1. Ensure that the voltage is the same as that indicated on
the model identifi cation plate.
2. Connect the power cable supplied (see battery compart-
ment if necessary) to a properly installed safety power
socket and the mains connector AC-IN on the back of the
machine.
Inserting the Batteries (not supplied)
1. Open the lid of the battery compartment on the bottom.
2. Insert 6 batteries of type UM 2 / R 14 1.5 V. Please ensure
that the polarity is correct (see the fl oor of the battery
compartment)!
3. Then close the battery lid.
NOTE:
When a mains cable is connected the batteries are auto-
matically switched off.
CAUTION:
• Batteries can leak battery acid. If the device is out of use
for a long period of time, remove the batteries.
• Different battery types or new and used batteries must
not be used together.
• Batteries are not to be disposed of together with
domestic wastes. Dispose of the used batteries at the
relevant collection bin or at your dealer’s.
WARNING:
The batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such
as sunshine, fi re or the like.
Danger of explosion!
Transport Safety Device, CD Compartment
• Open the CD compartment (3) by pulling the lid upwards
by the tab (6).
• Before operating the machine for the fi rst time, remove
the transport safety device from the CD player if it is still
in place.
Volume
You can adjust the desired volume with the VOLUME control
(16).
Select the Operating Mode
1. Set the function switch to the position “CD”.
2. Now you can select the operating mode with the
MODE button (9). For this, keep the button pressed each
time for ca. 3 seconds.
3. The appliance switches from CD operation to USB opera-
tion to Bluetooth operation.
NOTE:
When there is no CD in the CD slot, the appliance auto-
matically switches from CD operation to USB operation.
Switch-off
The machine is switched off when the function selector switch
(4) is turned to the OFF position. The POWER (15) control
lamp goes off. Unplug the device.
NOTE:
After approx. 10 minutes without a signal, the device will
automatically switch to standby. To use the device again,
press the MODE button (9).
Listening to the Radio
1. Set the function switch (4) to the “FM” position.
2. Completely extend the telescopic antenna. Change its
position to improve the reception.
3. Tune the desired station with the TUNING control (5).
