Care and maintenance
If slight brownish discolouration should appear on the unit housing, this should be rubbed off as soon
as possible with a damp cloth.
The unit should be cleaned in the cold condition, using customary cleaning agents. Abrasive or
corrosive cleaning agents should be avoided.
Do not spray any cleaning sprays into the air slots.

Important instruction
Keep these instructions carefully and pass them on to your successor in the event of a change in
ownership.
In the event of any repair work, hand them to the qualified installer for his attention.

Installation instructions
Installation and electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified installer, under observance of
these installation instructions.
The VH 211 is supplied complete with a connecting cable.
Only remove the packaging of the unit and accessories at the place of installation, taking note of the
additional package. When unpacking, take care to ensure that no accessories remain behind in the
packaging material.

Provisions and regulations
The units are not suitable for rooms which are subject to a fire or explosion risk caused by chemicals,
dust, gases or vapours. In workshops or other rooms in which waste gases, oil and petrol odours etc. are
encountered or where work is carried out with solvents and chemicals, longer-term sustained irritation
from odours and possibly pollution can occur.

The unit may only be fitted on a vertical wall which is temperature resistant to at least 80 °C.

The minimum distances from adjacent objects must be observed.
●
All electrical connection and installation work is to be carried out in accordance with the I.E.E
Regulations, the provisions of the appropriate electricity supply companies, and the relevant national
and regional provisions.
●
The unit must not be fitted directly beneath an electrical wall socket.
●
If the unit is permanently connected to the a.c. mains network (unit connection box), it must be
possible to isolate it from the mains network on all poles with an isolating distance of at least 3 mm.
Contactors, circuit breakers, fuses etc. can be used for this purpose.
Installation using a permanently laid connection cable without a means of isolation is not
permissible.

The unit rating plate is to be noted. The stated voltage must correspond to the mains voltage

If the heating unit is installed in rooms with a bath and/or a shower, the range of pro-tection
according to the I.E.E. Regulations- in conformity with the information on the unit rating plate –
must be taken into account.
●
The unit is to be fitted in such a way that switching and control devices cannot be touched by
anyone in the bath or under the shower.
●
If the mains connection cable is changed, this may only be replaced with original AEG spare parts by
a qualified installer.
