10. Data storage
The met[LOG] can collect the measured values of the connected sensors and store them each 1-, 2-,
5- or 10 minutes on the SD-card.
10.1. General

Wind direction
The mean value will NOT be calculated scalar due to the discontinuity of the wind direction between 0°
and 360° but has to be calculated vectorially due to the full circle (vectorial means value with unit vec-
tors).
Wind speed and wind direction vectorially connected
For alternative measurements of wind speed and direction, the vectorial mean value of the wind direc-
tion and the wind speed will be stored upon configuration.
Wind peak
Wind peak can be stored for wind speed and wind direction measurements. The wind peak indicates
the wind direction and wind speed at the time of the highest wind speed each storage interval.
Pressure
The air pressure can be stored as a direct measuring value or as a corrected value.
Amount of precipitation
The amount of precipitation will be stored as a sum of the measured quantity of the respective storage
interval.
Status
Typical status information is “rain yes/no“ or “sunshine yes/no“. The status or will be stored as a per-
centage of the storage interval for the event “yes” (no = 0 %, yes = 100 % and averaging) or the dura-
tion of the appearance for each storage interval in minutes.
System status
Some sensors deliver a system status with error information or similar. The system status will not be
condensed, the last valid system status for each storage interval will be stored.
