Aereco S.A.

3.5. SENSORS

The DXA Premium version is compatible with two types of sensors for the management of supply
airflow: presence detection or CO

2

.

In Premium version, at least one sensor has to be installed in a main room. If, at least two

and up to 5 sensors are installed, an average value is calculated for the supply airflow.

- Presence sensors and CO

2

 sensors can be mixed together.

- A maximum of 5 sensors can be connected to the system.
- The connection to the system is made through RJ12 wires. Only the specific ones supplied by
Aereco can be used.

3.5.1.  PRESENCE SENSORS (DX S-PRE)

The DX S-PRE presence detector uses infrared radiation to measure movements made in a room.

The detector includes a LED indicator that displays the detections in order to inform the users.
When luminosity in the room is very low, the LED is automatically switched off.

The S-PRE sensor must be installed on the ceiling at a place it can easily detect the presence. The
operating scenarios are the following ones :

If detection during the night, over ventilation for 45 minutes after the last detection.
If detection during the day, over ventilation for 20 minutes after the last detection.
If no detection, supply airflow is reduced to a minimum to save energy.

3.5.2.  C0

2

 SENSORS (DX S-C02)

C0

Sensors must be installed on the wall, at a height of at least 1.5 from the floor, or at the

ceiling, and must respect the following recommendations:

·keep the sensor away from any direct solar radiation,
·keep the sensor away from draughts (door, window, supply, etc.),
·avoid placing the sensor in dead zones (behind curtains, furniture, etc.),
·keep the sensor away from heat sources and from occupants,
·if the sensor is located at the ceiling, keep it away from any supply unit.

5 indexation positions are allowed for every sensor (presence or CO

2

): position 1 to position 5

included.

Important: Before to start the heat recovery unit, every sensor must have a specific

identification number (1 to 5) so that the system can identify them. As the sensor is

delivered in position 0, its position has to be changed. This identification number has to be

different from a sensor to another one.

Example:

 ·

Presence sensor bedroom A = 1

 ·

Presence sensor bedroom B = 2

 ·

Presence sensor bedroom C = 3

 ·

CO

2

sensor in living room = 4

Note:

The sensor must be manipulated with extreme care.
