Connecting the oil line
1. Mount the pipe to the product using a suitable screwed pipe connection

as per DIN 3852. The tightening torque is 40 ±10 Nm.
2. Use an AFRISO universal screwed pipe connection (accessories) for
product types V 500, R 500 and Z 500. The tightening torque for screwed
pipe connections ø 8 mm is 15 ±5 Nm. The tightening torque for screwed
pipe connections ø 10 mm is 20 ±5 Nm. The mounting instruction is pro-
vided with the screwed pipe connection.

Rating the suction line
The inside diameter of the suction line must not be less than 4 mm even if the
calculation of the flow rate results in a smaller inside diameter. The capillary
effect may cause air bubbles to be sucked in. Air bubbles can cause a mal-
function of the burner.
A properly rated suction line helps to keep air from accumulating in higher
pipe sections and sections with downward gradients.
1. Determine the diameter of the suction line according to the table below or
according to "Nomograph".
2. Take into account the specifications of the burner manufacturer when rat-
ing the suction line.
