The purpose of this aid is to provide the user (child) with a secure ability to stay afloat and
maintain the correct body position for swimming.
A swimming aid for learning to swim is not a toy. A swimming aid is not a life-saving
device! Never leave your child alone during use! Read the instructions and warnings
thoroughly before use and make sure the Swimming Aid is suitable for your child's weight
(and age).
Instructions for use:
•
Before each use, check the swimming aid for damage.
•
Make sure all buckles are open and straps are loose before putting on the swimming aid.
•
Put the buoyancy aid on from above through the neck opening. Make sure the handle
(strap) is positioned on the child's back.
•
Snap the side buckles first and make sure the straps are tightened securely. The front
and back panels should be centered on the top of the body.
•
Close the crotch strap and tighten securely. The swimming teaching aid is securely
tightened as long as it does not move around the centre of the child's body. In the water,
then make sure the flotation device fits properly and do not let the child out of reach.
Make sure the shoulder straps do not ride up and are not loose. If they do, readjust the
crotch strap.
•
Make sure the child does not chew or bite the swimming aid as small parts can be bitten
off and cause choking!
Maintenance
•
To keep the swimming aid in the best possible condition, rinse it thoroughly with clean
water after each use. Do not dry in direct sunlight. The swimming aid should be hung in a
dark, dry area until it is completely dry. Do not expose the swimming aid to any direct
stress (e.g. pedalling).
