Chapter 3: Testing Logic Analyzer Performance
Prepare the Logic Analysis System for Testing
Perform System Self-Tests

Do a self-test on the logic analysis system.
a
When the logic analysis system has finished booting, the Waveform
window appears. Select
Help
→
Self-Test...
from the main menu. The
Analysis System Self Tests window will appear.

In the Select Suite(s) list, select <all>. This will cause <all> to be
selected in the Select Test(s) list.

Select
Start
. This will perform a complete system self-test.
The progress of the self tests is displayed in the Progress & Statistics area of the
window.

When the self-tests are complete, check the Results window to ensure
that the Result Summary says that all tests passed. If all tests did not
pass, refer to “Troubleshooting” on page 63.

Select the
Close
button to close the Analysis System Self Tests window.

If all module self-tests pass, then record “PASS” in the “Logic Analysis
System Self-Tests” section of the Performance Test Record (page 60).
