Hardware Configuration Reference

This section describes the hardware parameter settings used in the initialization configuration

file typically named

e3238s.cfg

. This file defines the system hardware configuration and

is loaded when you start the

e3238s

program. If the information in this file does not match

the installed configuration, error messages are displayed to help isolate the problem.

Note

This file is installed as

d.e3238s.cfg

during upgrades or reinstallation to avoid

overwriting any existing configuration information. Upgrades may contain new commands

to support new features so some manual editing may be required before running the

application program.

Note

Some software options, such as option USD, provide their own configuration file that can be

cut and pasted into the e3238s.cfg file. The configuration files are located in the directory for

the specific option. For example, the USD configuration file default location is

:\E3238s\usd\d.e3238s.cfg.

Note

The N6841A RF Sensor has its own configuration file. Refer to the documentation that came

with the N6841A RF Sensor for configuration information.
