Hardware Installation

E1439D VHF/UHF Configuration, One DSP

The following configuration is that of one E1439D ADC and one E9821A DSP. This system

is configured for search and for no delay. As shown in

, a pair of cables run from the

ADC’s Serial FPDP ports to the A section of serial ports on the DSP. The connections are

made so that each XMT socket connects to the other card’s Rcv socket.
The first FPDP cable runs from the ADC’s XMT socket to the DSP’s A section Rcv socket;

the second FPDP cable runs from the DSP’s A section XMT socket to the ADC’s Rcv socket.
