A27 Mass storage Disk Drive Assembly Replacement
Tools Required

TORX screwdriver T10, T15 and T20
•
Pozidriv screwdriver, pt size #2 (medium)
Save Backup Files to the PC
When the mass storage disk drive is readable, you have to perform the following steps. For
details of the adjustment program, refer to Chapter 3 on page 73.
Step 1.
Run the adjustment program.
Step 2.
Input the GPIB address of the E5052A.
Step 3.
Input the serial number of the E5052A.
Step 4.
Perform the adjustment using “Backup” in
Spot Adjustment
of the program.
Removal Procedure
Refer to Figure 6-3 for this procedure.
Step 1.
Remove the outer cover as described in “Outer Cover Removal” on page 176.
Step 2.
Remove the two TORX T10 screws (item 1) fastening the Mass storage Disk Drive
assembly.
Step 3.
Release the mylar cable and flat cable from the cable clamp (item 2).
Step 4.
Disconnect the power supply cable from the HDD (item 3).
Step 5.
Disconnect the flat cable from the HDD (item 4).
Step 6.
Lift the Mass storage Disk Drive assembly.
Step 7.
Remove the four screws (item 5) fastening the HDD.
