Option Installation

Update Procedure

Step 12.

Clamp the slack cable between the power unit and the FDD, the Oven assembly and the 
removable hard disk assembly (item 7).

Step 13.

Clamp wires between the power unit and the FDD (item 8).

Step 14.

Stick the cable clamp included in this kit as shown Figure 2-2 (item 9), and then clamp the 
slack flat cable between the mother board and the removable hard disk assembly.

Step 15.

Clamp all unused cables of the power unit by cable tie (item 10).

Step 16.

Stick the heat transfer sheet to the mass storage disk drive rear side (Refer to Figure 2-1).

Step 17.

Remove the four TORX T10 screws (item 11), and remove the two TORX T8 screws (item 
12).

Step 18.

Remove the HDD bracket from the connector board.

Step 19.

Connect the mass storage disk drive with heat transfer sheet to the connector board.

Step 20.

Fasten the mass storage disk drive with the connector board to the HDD bracket using the 
four TORX T10 screws (item 13) and the two TORX T8 screws (item 12).

Step 21.

Fasten the HDD bracket to the HDD box using the four TORX T10 screws (item 11).

Step 22.

Connect the flat cable between the connector board and the interface board.

Step 23.

Fasten the cover assembly for the removable hard disk.
