General Product Information
PNA Series Microwave Network Analyzers
Analyzer Options Available
E8362C, E8363C, E8364C
Option 016, Receiver Attenuators
This upgrade provides a 35-dB step attenuator, in 5-dB steps, in the A and B receiver channels.
Options 040 and 041, Extended Frequency Range to 40 GHz
This upgrade—E8362CU-040—provides the additional hardware and software necessary to make frequency
measurements up to 40 GHz with your E8362C PNA.
If you have a standard E8362C PNA, then upgrade E8362CU-040 provides the additional hardware and
software necessary to make frequency measurements up to 40 GHz.
If your E8362C PNA already has option 014, then option E8362CU-041 provides additional hardware and
software necessary to make frequency measurements up to 40 GHz, and upgrades your 3.5 mm connectors
to 2.4 mm connectors.
Options 050 and 051, Extended Frequency Range to 50 GHz
This upgrade provides the additional hardware and software necessary to make frequency measurements
up to 50 GHz with your E8362C/63B PNA.
If you have a standard E8362C PNA, then upgrade E8362CU-050 provides the additional hardware and
software necessary to make frequency measurements up to 50 GHz.
If your E8362C PNA already has option 014, then option E8362CU-051 provides additional hardware and
software necessary to make frequency measurements up to 50 GHz, and upgrades your 3.5 mm connectors
to 2.4 mm connectors.
If you have a E8363C PNA—with or without option 014—then upgrade E8363CU-050 provides the additional
hardware and software necessary to make frequency measurements up to 50 GHz.
Option 067 and 068
1
, Extended Frequency Range to 67 GHz
These upgrades provide the additional hardware and software necessary to make frequency measurements
up to 67 GHz with your E8363C/64B PNA. Option 067 is for analyzers without Option 014 and Option 068 is
for analyzers with Option 014 already installed.
Option 080, Frequency Offset Mode
This upgrade provides the additional hardware and software necessary to make frequency offset
measurements. This option requires that Option 081 also be installed.
Option 081, External Reference Switch
This upgrade adds a solid-state internal RF transfer switch in the R1 reference receiver path. The switch
allows the instrument to easily switch between standard S-parameter (non-frequency offset) measurements
and frequency offset measurements such as relative phase or absolute group delay that require an external
reference mixer. The user can set the switch manually or remotely, but it is best used with the
frequency-converter application (option 083), where it is controlled automatically during the vector-mixer
calibration procedure.
1. These upgrades are not available for the E8362C PNA.
