General Remarks
Common Status Information
There are four registers for status information:
•
Status Byte register (STB)
•
Service Request Enable register (SRE)
•
Event Status Register (ESR)
•
Event Status Enable register (ESE)
Two of these are status-registers and two are enable-registers.
These registers conform to the IEEE Standard 488.2-1987. You can
find further descriptions of these registers under *ESE, *ESR?,
*SRE, and *STB?. The following figure shows how the registers
are organized.

section 8.4 “Standard STATUS Commands” on page 118.
