Commands by Subsystem
Command Types
Three types of commands are used:
• Common (*) Commands

• Root Level (:) Commands

• Subsystem Commands
— Subsystem commands are grouped together
under a common node of the
on page 791, such as the
:TIMebase commands. Only one subsystem may be selected at any given
time. When the instrument is initially turned on, the command parser is
set to the root of the command tree; therefore, no subsystem is
selected.
Select automatic measurements to be made
and control time markers.
Control the mask test features provided with
Option LMT.
Control all oscilloscope functions associated
with groups of digital channels.
Recall previously saved oscilloscope setups
and traces.
Save oscilloscope setups and traces, screen
images, and data.
Control oscilloscope functions associated with
the serial decode bus.
Control basic system functions of the
oscilloscope.
Control all horizontal sweep functions.
Control the trigger modes and parameters for
each trigger type.
Provide access to waveform data.
