Check that
‘No Trouble’
is displayed in the
Results
window
to confirm no errors have been detected. If not then refer to
“What to Do if the Test Fails"
on page 45.

<Single Error>
button and check that the Errors Led
flashes red and some errors accumulate on the
Results -
Trouble Scan
window. Then press the
<Run/Stop>
key to
stop gating.

Check that the laser LED is illuminated at the 9.95/10.71
Gb/s output port on the OmniBER OTN’s connector panel.

to confirm correct operation.

<Window>
key to highlight the
Transmitter Settings
page and set the
Laser
to
OFF
.
N O T E
The receiver will automatically set to the same signal rate as the
transmitter as Tx > Rx Coupling is On. The graphical display on lower
window indicates the overall set-up of transmitter & receiver. Coupling
status is shown in left lower corner.
