Making Socket Connection
The power meter can be remotely connected via socket connection. To
connect the meter using socket connection,

Right- click the Agilent IO Libraries
icon on the taskbar and select
Agilent Connection Expert
.

On the Agilent Connection Expert window, click on
. An
Add Instrument window will be prompted out. Select
Add LAN instrument
on LAN (TCPIPO)
interface and click
OK

On the Add LAN Instruments window (see
), click the
Add
Address
.

Select the
Use IP Address
option and type the IP address. Select the
Use
socket connection
.

Click
Test Connection
to test if the instrument is present.

Click
OK
. You will then return to the Agilent Connection Expert window
(see
). Your meter is successfully connected via socket
connection.
