Brakes
Your bike is equipped with both front and rear V-type brakes. Both brakes must begin
braking in the first half of the lever lift. When you need more than the first half of the
levers lift to start braking you must adjust brake position. You can use the barrels for
small adjustments or you will need to adjust lenght of cable by the anchor bolt.
Adjust the positon of left and right pads to be the same against rim. When the
distance of pads and rim is not the same, adjust these by spring tension centering
screws. By screwing clockwise you increase gap between pad and rim. Screwing
anticlockwise downcreases the gap. Centering of wheels is essential for correct
function and good efficiency of the brakes.
Do not use only front brake when going downhill! There is a risk of accident
and injury.
