4-9
4-8-B.
In
• Innestare e spingere l'albero cardanico sull'albero
scanalato della scatola ingranaggi finché si arresta
(Fig. 4-10).
l'avvenuto collegamento.
• Afferrare l'albero cardanico e tirare energicamente
per assicurarsi che sia bloccato.
• Ripetere l'operazione dal lato trattrice.

If B is higher than A
Divide the two halves of the cardan shaft.
The under mentioned steps apply to both halves of the
cardan shaft.
• Cut the plastic cover (Fig. 4-9-A) to corresponding
to B “minus” A of Fig 4-7.
• Use the part of protection cut off as reference length
and cut the exceeding shaft part (Fig. 4-9-B).
• Remove burrs (Fig. 4-9-C), clean accurately and
lubricate the sliding shafts .
• Put the two cardan shaft halves together.
After having connected the cardan shaft both to the
tractor and to the shredder (see points 4.2.2 and
4.2.3), lift the shredder very slowly and carry out all the
movements in order to check the correct sliding of the
cardan shaft and especially that all the conditions
shown in Fig. 4-8-A and 4-8-B are satisfied.
4.2.2 Connection of cardan shaft with safety pin
with spring return
Before the connection make sure the safety pin 1 (Fig.
4-10) slides freely. Otherwise take care of its cleaning
and if necessary lubricate it.
Connect the cardan shaft to the shredder first
and then to the tractor.
• Insert and push the cardan shaft on the gearbox
splined shaft, until it stops (Fig. 4-10).
• Press the safety pin 1 with the thumb of one hand
and keep it down until the cardan shaft slides some
2 cm forward.
• Reduce the pressure on the pin but keep the thumb
in place and keep on inserting the cardan shaft
slowly. As soon as the pin 1 enters its home position
2 within the splined shaft a slight pressure on your
thumb indicates that the connection is completed.
• Grasp the cardan shaft and pull it with energy in
order to make sure it is fully blocked.
• Repeat the operation from the tractor side.
