Connections
Connecting Climate & CO2 Sensors
GrowControl’s climate and CO2 ppm sensors are connected using standard mini-DIN 6 straight through cables.
Either sensor can use either sensor port on the GrowControl!
Important! To reduce the risk of damage to the controller, always connect cables at the sensor end first and disconnect
cables from the controller end first. This prevents the chance of a short circuit on the end of the sensor cable.
Connecting a Sensor:
1.
Plug the sensor cable into the sensor cable port.
2.
Plug the sensor cable into one of the GrowControl sensor ports.
Disconnecting a Sensor:
1.
Disconnect the sensor cable from the GrowControl sensor port.
2.
Disconnect the sensor cable from the sensor cable port.
Sensor cables can be extended using male-female extension cables (available from Agrowtek) up to 50ft.
Connecting Shut-Down Sensor
GrowControl features a unique shut-down sensor that can be used for flood prevention, security and other measures. When
the shut-down sensor is tripped, the controller de-activates all equipment until the “Re-Start-Delay” timer has completed.
Connect Agrowtek’s flood sensor or create your own sensor/switch with a standard IEC320 C14 cable. (available from
Agrowtek.)
Important! The shut-down sensor operates on 24 VDC.
DO NOT:
1.
Take power from the shut-down sensor port, or
2.
Supply power to the shut-down sensor port
Proper Flat-Spot Orientation
