Operating Instructions

 

 

 

The Screen and Key Pad: 
 
The figure below shows the main or home screen, of the controller; here a variety of current controller status data is 
displayed. 
 

 

 
 
Commissioning your Controller: 
When your controller starts from a power-off condition it must complete a 
4:00 minute warm-up to ensure the sensor readings are accurate before 
attempting to operate any equipment.  
 
This timer prevents strange operating conditions when power is cycled 
to the controller from power outages or maintenance. 
 
Power Indicator LED: 
The GrowControl processor has an LED to indicate the controller is powered.  
A “Flashing” LED indicates that the controller is functioning properly. 
 
 
Setting Up Your Controller:
 
When you first commission your controller, it should be in the STOP condition; this prevents any attached devices from 
starting unexpectedly. Before placing the controller into RUN mode, enter all of your desired set points, timer values and 
configuration options. 
 
 
Setting the Time and Date: 
 

1.

 

From the home screen, press the OK key to enter the system menu 

2.

 

Scroll down to SET CLOCK... and press OK 

3.

 

SET CLOCK will be blinking, press OK 

4.

 

Move to the value you wish to change and press OK 

5.

 

Use the UP/DOWN keys to adjust the values 

6.

 

Press OK to set the values or press ESC to return to the previous value 

7.

 

Press ESC until you return to the home screen. 

 

 

At the main screen the time and day should now be accurate.  
 
Setting the Daylight Savings Time: 
 

1.

 

From the home screen, press the OK key to enter the system menu 

2.

 

Scroll down to SET CLOCK... and press OK 

3.

 

Select DST... and press OK 

4.

 

To disable DST, select NONE and press OK 

5.

 

To enter a manual summer and winter start date, select MANUAL and press OK 

6.

 

To accept the US, EU or GB standards, select the desired standard and press OK 

7.

 

To create custom rules for summer start/end select RULE and press OK 

Select SUMMERTIME START or SUMMERTIME END to create custom rules 

8.

 

Press ESC until you reach to home screen
