This thermometer offers a wide measurement range feature from 0 to 100 °C,
meaning the unit can be used as a forehead or an ear thermometer to measure
body temperature or it can be used to measure surface temperature of the

1. This device may only be used for the purposes described in these instruc

2. Never immerse this device in water or other liquids. For cleaning please
follow the instructions in the «Cleaning and Disinfecting» section.
3. Do not use this device if you think it is damaged or notice anything unusual.
4. Never open this device.
5. Earwax in the ear canal may cause a lower temperature reading. There
-
fore it is important to ensure the subject’s ear canal is clean.
6. A basic physiologic effect called vasoconstriction can occur in the early
stages of fever, resulting in a cool skin effect, the recorded temperature
using a forehead thermometer can, therefore, be unusually low.
7. If the measurement result is not consistent with the patient’s finding or
unusually low, repeat the measurement every 15 minutes or double check
the result by another core body temperature measurement.
8. This device comprises sensitive components and must be treated with
caution. Observe the storage and operating conditions described in the
«Technical specifications» section.
9. Ensure that children do not use this device unsupervised; some parts are
small enough to be swallowed.
10. Protect it from:

impact and dropping;
•
contamination and dust;
•
direct sunlight;
•
heat and cold;
•
hot steam.
11. If the device is not going to be used for a prolonged period the battery
should be removed.
12. Do not use this device close to strong electromagnetic fields such as
mobile telephones or radio installations. Keep a distance from such devic
