AhnLab TrusGuard Installation Guide
Network Interface
Set the network interface according to the nework and characteristics.
Step: Network > Interface > Interface
Network ports mean physical network ports, and network interface means the logical communiation
interface. A network port could be a network interface, and multiple network ports can be used as one
network interface. You can set the following types of network interfaces.
Bridge: Logically connects physically-separated network sections into one network.
Aggregation: Set load balancing or mesh in a network that requires high-availability.
VLAN: If the networks to connect use VLAN, it recognizes VLAN tag.
Secondary Port: Allot an additional IP address to the network interface.
GRE: Set the GRE tunnel.
Apart from the above, you can also use AutoConfiguration (AC) in IPv6 environment and GRE port for
IPSec VPN.
Port Labelling
In TrusGuard 2.1 Patch1, you can label the network port: IN, OUT, DMZ. Before setting the interface,
label the network port first. If the network port is labeled, the nework port will be displayed on the
management screen, or the label will be displayed when showing the IP address profile that refers to
the network port.
