Review the instructions to determine the “Responsibilities” and perform only those steps in this
section that you are responsible for performing.

throughout this packet before starting the procedure (s) in this section.
This section covers replacement of the simpler detacher parts and assemblies. Instructions for more
complicated parts and assemblies are in the repair kits for those parts.
Refer to operation, along with the Troubleshooting Guide to help determine which of the detacher
parts is defective.
Detacher Electronic Control PC Board Removal and Replacement
1. Make sure power to the detacher is turned OFF.
2. Using a 9/64” (4mm ) Allen wrench, loosen the four cap screws and remove the cover assembly.
3. Unplug the two green connectors on the PC board and unscrew the no. 15 torx screws holding
the PC board in place remove the board.
4. To mount the new circuit board, follow the instructions in reverse order.
Snug tighten the control box screws, over tightening can stress the control box and crack the
plastic.
PC Board Replacement NOTE
On the new PC board, set all of the detacher settings to match those of the existing units. If
networking is present be sure to address the new PC board the same as the board removed. For the
network to recognize the new PC board the addressing must be done with the power off the PC
board. If addressing is completed with power on you must cycle the power off and on for the network
to recognize the new PC board. A pulsation and milking performance test should be completed
based on the system analysis form, prior to using the units.
Replacing Detacher Solenoid Valves.
1. Disconnect the power to the detacher (s).
2. Remove the Control to access the dual valve SS box assembly.
3. Disconnect the wires of the failed valve and remove the valve from the dual valve SS box
assembly.
4. To install the new valve, follow the instructions in the reverse order.
